Tiny Little Writing Update

All right. Two personal blog entries in a row. Time to get my head back in the game.

Writing updates: My sequel to SURREAL ECSTASY is still in the publication process. I’m currently at almost 50,000 words for the DAYDREAMER sequel. That’s my top priority right now, but it’ll take a bit more time because I have some major renovating to do on its manuscript. I also have a new book of poetry I self-published not too long ago. It’s a kind of sampler of 50 of my favorite poems over the last 20-some odd years.

I have a lot of author friends who are coming out with great new projects, and I’m adding their work to be TBR (to-be-read) list, which is already a mile long. Which brings me to…

Reading updates: I’m actively reading (meaning picked up and read in the past week or so) A MOUNT VERNON LOVE STORY by Mary Higgins Clark, which is historical fiction; DRAGONS OF FAITH which is an anthology from 7DS; FOUR by Veronica Roth; and THE TUDOR CHRONICLES: 1485-1603 by Susan Doran (non-fiction).

By the way, I’m LOVING the book FOUR. It’s already by far my favorite Veronica Roth book, and I’m only halfway through it. Maybe because I think Four is more interesting than Tris. Maybe because I’m well-versed about the DIVERGENT world, and because of it there is no pressure or stress in reading. Or maybe because it’s pretty damn neat to see the DIVERGENT world from a slightly different angle. I have a theory that Veronica Roth felt more inspired to write from Four’s point of view, but who knows? At any rate, I absolutely love it.

Well, that’s all for now. I’m going to pretend to write, end up reading a few pages of someone else’s work instead, and fall asleep. Night all.
